Out of the archives... The Immigrant and the Disc Golfer

I came across this radio piece I did back in J-school at UBC. It won the Mowatt student journalism award for long-form radio documentary in 2007, and was broadcast on CBC that year. I was a little worried to listen to it, but I think it holds up.

The story is of Rosio Jersak, a widow from Mexico who moved to British Columbia and fell in love - with disc golf and with Peter, the man who would be her husband.

 

I haven't posted here in more than two years... life gets busy. Been working a lot on The Bit podcast, for my employer, Upstream.
